Bronze and Silver Awards Ceremony
The Bronze and Silver Awards Ceremony will take place in the Gallery at 5.15 p.m. There will be a cash bar available from 5 p.m. directly outside the Gallery Suite.

PPMA SHOW AND STARPACK AWARDS CO-LOCATE
The Starpack Awards scheme has been running since 1960 and celebrates its 50th year in 2009. Starpack is the premier UK annual scheme recognising innovation in packaging design and technology. Run by IOP: The Packaging Society, Starpack constitutes the UK packaging industry's most prestigious awards, aiming to help raise packaging standards in the UK by rewarding and encouraging creativity. They are considered an integral part of the packaging industry, and the culmination of the Awards at the annual Packaging Industry Awards Ceremony is a highlight of the packaging industry calendar. We are pleased to announce that the Starpack Dinner and Awards Ceremony will take place at the NEC in conjunction with PPMA and the PPMA Show on Wednesday 30 September.
Starpack Summit
High-level speakers from all parts of the supply chain and the Government’s opposition, discussed the importance of the role of packaging in consumer markets, the import issues surrounding sustainability and product wastage, sustainable product development, and managing recessionary economic influences. IOP: The Packaging Society offers the Student Starpack Awards for potential professional designers. Entrants must be a bona fide part time or full time stduent at a college of art, college or university in the UK or Overseas. In the past the awards have led directly to a number of employment opportunities for successful entrants. The deadline for entries is 25 February 2009.
New for 2009 is the graduate brief. This brief is open to individuals who graduated in the summer of 2008 from either full or part time design courses in the UK or Overseas.The deadline for entries is 25 February 2009.
The Schools Starpack Award briefs provide excellent opportunties for Key Stage 3, 4 and AS Level. The deadline for entries is 25 February 2009.
